What's Involved in each Session?
Each session is specialised and tailored to each patient, although what's performed in the session mostly follows the same structure. The first session will be an 'Initial Consultation' where the session time is longer to go through previous medical history. Sessions after will be a 'Follow up Session' where we can get to the treatment quicker!

(1) Discussion
We will start the initial session by having a thorough discussion about your pet, external environment, and relevant previous visits to the vets. This is to gather as much context and history about your pet as possible, to help me provide the best possible tailored treatment.

(2) Assessment
After the discussion, a thorough assessment will take place. This will include doing a static, dynamic, palpation and range of motion assessment (and if necessary, a spinal and neurological assessment).
Following both the discussion and assessment, we will then discuss the present musculoskeletal issues and the treatments we can do to help restore function and comfort.

(3) Treatment
After the assessment and discussion, each patient will have a tailored treatment session. This can involve the use of manual and electrotherapy techniques, stretching and passive range of motion techniques, finished off with some exercises.
(4) Exercise Plan
After the session, you will be given some tailored exercises or an exercise plan depending on your pet's needs. This is to help to continue to build and maintain the musculoskeletal system post-session and between appointments.

(5) Follow-Up Session
The amount and frequency of follow-up appointments is individual to each patient and is completely up to you! Each session is tailored to every patient's requirements and needs.
Follow-up appointments follow the same structure as the initial consultation, but with less background questions at the start and more treatment time!
